What is reading the Word?
The Bible is not just a book; it is the living voice of God revealed to us. Reading the Word is opening our hearts to know who He is, understanding His ways, and aligning our lives with His will. Without the Word, we risk living guided only by emotions or opinions, instead of the truth that sets us free.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." - Psalm 119:105
The Word transforms
Reading the Bible is not just about gaining knowledge, but about generating transformation. Every time we meditate on it, God works on our character, shapes our thoughts, and strengthens our faith.
How to practice
Choose a fixed time of day to read the Bible.
It starts with small sections and gradually increases in size.
Use a reading plan or study one book at a time.
Pray before and after, asking God to reveal understanding.
Challenge
During this week, read at least one chapter of the Bible each day. At the end of each reading, write down in one sentence what God spoke to you.
Answer these questions and reflect.
How many days last week did I read the Bible?
What else prevents me from reading the Word?
