What is prayer?
Prayer is the dialogue between us and God. It is the place where we pour out our hearts, give thanks, ask for guidance, and learn to hear His voice. It is not just about speaking, but also about making space to listen. Prayer is the oxygen of spiritual life; without it, faith becomes fragile.
"Pray without ceasing." - 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Prayer and intimacy
We often use prayer only to ask God for something. But true prayer goes beyond that: it's about closeness, intimacy, and friendship with the Father. The more we pray, the more our hearts are molded to Him.
How to practice
Establish a fixed time for daily prayer.
It begins with gratitude before making requests.
Use the Bible as a guide: pray through psalms or promises.
Maintain short prayers throughout the day, like conversations with God.
Challenge
During this week, set aside 15 minutes each day just for prayer. Divide your time between giving thanks, interceding for someone, and listening in silence. Observe how this practice changes your perspective.
Answer these questions and reflect.
When was the last time I spent time in prayer without feeling rushed?
Can I see God's answers in my daily life?
