Motherhood: A blessing amidst the chaos of daily life

If you're anything like me, you know that motherhood often turns into a series of challenges. I'm writing this while looking at the toys scattered in the hallway, the dishes that refuse to be washed, and the noise of the children in the background. It's utter chaos. Constant, noisy, and sometimes incredibly exhausting.

Sometimes I find myself thinking the solution lies simply in being more patient, owning a bigger house, or having calmer children. But the truth is, what helps us through tough times isn't organizational skills.

In his second letter to Timothy 3:6-7, the apostle Paul speaks of women who are constantly learning but never quite grasping the truth, leaving them overwhelmed and lost in a whirlwind of emotions. How often have I felt this way? Lost in guilt for not being the "perfect mom" on Instagram, or suffocated by the pressures of a world that demands we be everything and do everything.

So that we are not seen as "weak women" or fragile in the face of difficulties, we need unwavering faith. Not a faith that ignores pain, but a faith that knows where to seek help.

What helped me find grace amidst the confusion?

  • Replacing guilt with the Gospel:

  • Stick to promises, not feelings:

  • Accept reality (with humility):

My dear sister, motherhood is not a break in our spiritual lives, but rather the place where they are tested. Our spiritual ministry takes place between diaper changes and meals, between tantrums and hugs.

Don't just look for the end of the day or a time when the house is quiet.

Ask for God's mercy now
