It was a difficult year, but Jesus was in the boat.

The end of a year invites us to reflect. We look back and recognize that not everything was easy. There were days of uncertainty, moments of weariness, and situations that we did not fully understand. The Christian faith does not ignore this reality nor minimize it.
Nevertheless, in taking stock, one truth stands out above all others: Jesus was present every step of the way. Even when fear made itself heard, even when answers were delayed, He remained faithful.
The Scriptures remind us that the disciples went through the storm with Jesus in the boat. The journey was not smooth, but it was safe. The wind did not nullify the promise, and the chaos did not prevent the fulfillment of God's will.
Entering 2026 is not an exercise in empty optimism, but an act of trust. We don't know what the new year will bring, but we know Who walks with us. And that certainty changes how we face the future.
May this new year be lived with simple and persevering faith. May we learn to rest in the presence of Christ, even when the path seems uncertain. May each day be surrendered into God's hands with humility, obedience, and hope.
We hope that 2026 will be a year marked not by the absence of difficulties, but by unwavering trust in the One who governs all things. If Jesus is in the boat, the journey will be accomplished.
“The Lord is the one who goes before you; he will be with you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
Happy New Year, by the grace of God.
