Digital Evangelism: Between Visibility and Faithfulness

There is a dangerous temptation in serving God: the belief that the impact of our work depends on our hustle, our strategy, or our visibility. We run the risk of becoming "religious employees"—full of activities, yet empty of God.

The biblical truth is piercing:

Mission that is not born out of the intimacy of prayer is nothing more than a human spectacle.

1. The Danger of Empty Activism

When our actions precede our communion, we stop being witnesses and become mere "entertainers." Without prayer, mission ceases to be a response to God’s calling and becomes a search for self-validation. If we do not bend our knees before putting our hands to work, all we offer the world is our own effort, rather than the life of Christ.

2. Jesus: The Priority of the Secret Place

Jesus, the greatest missionary the world has ever known, never neglected the Source. Before major decisions, after miracles, and amidst the pressure of the crowds, He would withdraw to desolate places to pray (Luke 5:16). For Jesus, prayer was not just the fuel for the mission; prayer was the vital connection without which nothing could be done. If the Son of God needed to pray to fulfill His mission, who are we to believe that our "doing" can replace "being with Him"?

3. "Show-off" vs. Fruit That Remains

The world is dazzled by the stage, but God focuses on the secret place. Mission without prayer may generate applause and visible short-term results, but it is spiritually sterile. It is "chaff" that the fire will consume. The fruit that remains (John 15:16) is only generated in the Vine.

Without the sap of prayer, the branch withers, no matter how green it tries to appear on the outside.

4. Leading on Bended Knee

A leader, a father, or a Christian who does not pray is a person who trusts only in themselves. Prayer is the antidote to pride and exhibitionism. It keeps us humble, reminding us that the Kingdom is His, the power is His, and the glory belongs to Him alone.

Do not let your mission turn into a "show."

Let your work be the overflow of a heart that meets God in the silence.

Before you seek to change the world, let God change your heart in the place of prayer.

Só Pela Graça

Só Pela Graça is not the product of AI algorithms or a desire for showmanship; this ministry simply could not exist without the foundation of prayer.

Faith without works is empty, but we also understand that there is no genuine evangelism without intercession, real care, and a commitment to discipleship. I am by no means perfect, and mistakes are part of the journey.

There are days when exhaustion sets in and I just want to "unplug," moments when I feel far too small for the scale of the calling.

But it is precisely in those moments that God whispers in my ear: "I am with you; I want to make Myself known."

I feel small because, in truth, I am indeed small, and recognizing this is my greatest security: it allows the Lord to be the sole protagonist.

My desire is that, through this care and constant discipleship, people see not my hands, but the Heart of the Father.

After all, as Scripture says in John 3:30: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” If Só Pela Graça remains standing, it is only because the strength does not come from us, but from the One who sustains us and who delights in using jars of clay to manifest His eternal glory.

Only those who linger in the Father’s presence are capable of bringing the Father to others.
